“We will use TKIP as a temporary solution until…”

.italo AGV high speed trains were prototyped by Alstom in 2008 and deployed in service since 2012. WPA/TKIP was a stopgap security protocol from 2003, before 802.11i (WPA2) was ratified.
Interestingly, today some AGV still have TKIP WLANs configured on the onboard APs, either for compatibility with legacy equipment, or simply due to excess of caution.

Beware of deploying interim solutions (such as in WPA3 Transition Mode) without a clear phase-out and migration plan. They tend to stick around for long time if left unattended.
